Welcome back to a new term at Spark Vale Academy. This term, pupils will explore learning linked to animals, online safety, health and wellbeing, identity, creativity, teamwork and the world around them, all through a connected curriculum designed to help every learner Belong, Grow and Thrive.
Spark Vale Academy is part of Operation Encompass, a safeguarding initiative that helps schools provide timely support to children and families affected by domestic abuse.
We are pleased to welcome Demi Turner, our Mental Health Support Team Practitioner, who will help learners experiencing difficulties with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Spark Vale Academy is proud to be part of the myHappymind family. Through this science-backed wellbeing programme, pupils are supported to understand their brains, build resilience, develop confidence, manage emotions and strengthen their sense of belonging. Parents and carers can also access the myHappymind Parent App to continue the learning at home.
The Spark Garden at Spark Vale Academy has become a meaningful outdoor learning space where pupils grow plants, care for nature, develop Life Skills, explore Science, create art and build confidence, responsibility and Personal Development beyond the classroom.
Learners at Spark Vale Academy visited Abbey Park as part of their local area learning. The visit helped pupils explore Geography and Maths in real life, while also building Life Skills, Personal Development, confidence, communication and independence in the community.
Year 7 learners at Spark Vale Academy brought their English learning to life with a farm visit after studying Farmer Duck. The trip supported ASDAN Life Skills, public transport, independence, careers learning, Personal Development and recount writing.
